1.39 inch of rain falls in Duncan today

50% chance of thunderstorms rest of the day

DUNCAN — A steady morning rain that totaled 1.39 inches soaked Duncan today, according to data compiled at the local airport.

More than an inch was recorded between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., the National Weather Service reported.

 At the Mesonet weather station near Velma, 0.56 inch of precipitation was reported.

 There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms today and tonight.
