Thursday showers bring 1.39 inches of rain

DUNCAN —     About 1.39 inches were recorded from the rainfall in Duncan on Thursday morning. More than an inch fell between 9 to 10 a.m.

Jonathon Kurtz, a meterologist from the National Weather Service in Norman said there “maybe a trace of precipitation left in Duncan,” but that rain during the weekend looks to be slim.

Normal percipitation for June 19 averages out to .16 inches. The record for June 19 is 1.66 inches and was recorded in 1962.

No damages have been reported from the rainfall.
