New reporter joins Banner staff

DUNCAN — Rachel Snyder, 23, has joined The Duncan Banner as a news reporter.

Rachel has previously worked as a reporter in Chickasha, covering everything from crime, state and local government to cute, stray animals. It was her first journalism job post-college.

She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2013, where she worked as a reporter and copy editor for the student newspaper, The Shorthorn.

Before college, she grew up in Watauga, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth in the North Richland Hills area.

She wants to one day work as a travel writer with a focus on Europe.
