Marlow relay set for 6 p.m. Friday

DUNCAN — Marlow citizens are invited to relay the night away this Friday at Redbud Park.

At 6 p.m., Marlow’s Relay for life will  raise money for the American Cancer society while honoring cancer survivors.

Cancer survivors are invited to the survivors’ dinner at Redbud Park’s nutrition center at 5:30 p.m. before the relay.

The goal is to raise $50,000 for  cancer research. An auction will be held to help reach the goal, with Oklahoma City Thunder and Red Hawk tickets on the block.

  • Big game atmosphere VYPE picks Duncan to make playoffs

    Despite facing a rigorous schedule, Duncan was picked by VYPE’s preseason football preview to return to the postseason after a one-year hiatus.
    With new coach Craig Benson taking over this season, the magazine predicted Duncan will finish fourth in Class 5A District 1 ahead of Chickasha and behind Ardmore. The Demons are also ranked as the No. 16 team in the Class, with Lawton Mac being the highest ranked team in the district at No. 4.
