Ronda (Adams) Woods

Oct. 18, 1953 - June 12, 2014

DUNCAN —      Ronda (Adams) Woods, 60, of Duncan, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her home.

    Graveside services will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Monday, June 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dean Hall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

    Ronda was born Oct. 18, 1953 in Mount Carmel, Ill. to Kermit & Wanda (Lowry) Woods. Rhonda worked as an interior decorator.

    Ronda is survived by her mother; Wanda Woods of Duncan, brother; Scott Woods of Duncan, and an aunt & uncle; Jerry & Ronnie Hall.

    Ronda was preceded in death by her father; Kermit Woods, and a brother Larry Dean Woods.

  • Big game atmosphere VYPE picks Duncan to make playoffs

    Despite facing a rigorous schedule, Duncan was picked by VYPE’s preseason football preview to return to the postseason after a one-year hiatus.
    With new coach Craig Benson taking over this season, the magazine predicted Duncan will finish fourth in Class 5A District 1 ahead of Chickasha and behind Ardmore. The Demons are also ranked as the No. 16 team in the Class, with Lawton Mac being the highest ranked team in the district at No. 4.
