Wanda Marie Crouch

MARLOW — Wanda Marie Crouch, 82, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her home in Marlow.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Church of the Nazarene in Marlow, with Rev. Nick Ward officiating.

Wanda was born Sunday, Jan. 24, 1932 in Hulen, to William “Shorty” Albert and Ona (Bull) Franklin. Wanda attended Hulen and Walters Schools. She lived in Marlow for the past 20 years. On Aug. 1, 1950, Wanda married Jerry Lee Crouch in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2011. Before moving to Marlow, Wanda worked for the Port Aransas Schools as the head cook for many years. She loved cooking, canning, and sewing. Wanda loved being a mother and taking care of her family. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Marlow.

Survivors include son, Henry A. Crouch and wife Sarah of Marlow, daughter, Bettie Crouch of Marlow, grandchildren, Jerry Lee Crouch, Jeanie Brasher, Julie Ann Jones, Travis Stamper, great-granddaughter, Kaylee Brasher, two brothers, Bill Franklin of Temple and Doug Franklin of Minneole, Texas, two sisters, Dean Marlett of Dallas, Texas and Mert Plangie of Kissimmee, Florida as well as several nieces and nephews. Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Jo Kline and Lois Langford.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
