Stocking — Hall

DUNCAN — Debbie Ann Stocking and Dennis Hall exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at the Recovery Church in Duncan, with Chaplain Scott Haynes officiating.

Bride is the daughter of Elroy and Rachel Tidmore of Sharon. She has two sons from Woodward: Joel and wife, Caron, and grandchildren Shealynn and Garett Stocking, and Matthew Stocking and wife, Tamera, and grandchildren Grady and Knox Stocking.

The Groom is the son of Stella Duckworth of Duncan. He has a brother, Wayne Hall, of Duncan.

Recovery Church was decorated for Christmas in Christmas colors. The church hosted the wedding and the reception. Red and silver were the main colors, with large red poinsettias flanking the arch.

Karla Kerley Craft of Duncan, good friend of the groom, was the soloist. Musicians were the Recovery Praise Team: R.D. and Mariann Green, Jason Barrett, Brian Mullens and Joe Horton.

Gorgeous bridal bouquet with red roses, corsages, boutonnieres and cake toppers were done by Jacklyn Pierce of Rebecca’s Flowers in Duncan. Abigail Smith Photography provided the phenomenal photos. The gorgeous and delicious cake was made by the Sugar Plum Shop in Marlow.

Karen Cool, Gerol and Wayne Graham, Stella Duckworth, Jimmie Turley, Anna and Greg White, Joe and Melody Horton, Lisa Swindler, and many others of Recovery Church worked hard to make the day special.

Maid of honor was Shealynn Stocking, granddaughter of the bride. She looked beautiful in the red chiffon dress and silver rhinestone shoes. She carried a bouquet of red and silver roses. Daughter-in-law of the bride, Carol Stocking, kept the guest book.

Best man was Richard Adkins, friend of the groom. Ushers were Wayne Hall, brother of the groom, and Garett Stocking, grandson of the bride.

Bride was escorted by her son Joel Stocking. As Karla Kerley Craft sang the solo “Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place,” Dennis and Debbie turned and faced family and friends. Dennis was reminded of Solomon dedicating the house he built into the Lord. Dennis dedicated the marriage (the house) until the Lord.

The couple intends to honor the Lord Jesus Christ with this union.

As Chaplain Scott Haynes pronounced Dennis and Debbie husband and wife, Karla sang the song “I Am Free,” a song she wrote for Dennis two years ago.

The wedding trip was to Eureka Springs, Ark. Dennis is the pastor of Recover Church in Duncan,  and they plan for Debbie to join hem in the ministry.

Poll

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
