DUNCAN — Christi Nicole Johnson and Jeffery Dwane Karcher, both of Duncan, exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. June 5, 2010, in New Hope Baptist Church West with Randy Southerland officiating. The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Carla Johnson of Duncan. She is the granddaughter of Lory Clift and the late Charleene Clift of Oklahoma City, Pat Johnson and the late Jerry Johnson of Duncan.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Carol Karcher of Perry. He is the grandson of the late Leonard and Loretta Kueck of Sedlia, Mo. and the late Walter and Eula Karcher of Perry.

Joann Ball, organist, and Keith Woods, soloist, provided special music at the ceremony. Six illuminated columns with greenery filled planters as dividers graced the altar with two urns of white gladiolas, fushia gerbera daisies, and orange roses.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white organza allove draped pick-up with beaded lace empire and lace up back with a chapel length train. She wore an elegant two tier elbow length white veil with a scalloped beaded edge. It was secured by a bridal silver headband with crystal floral design. She carried a bouquet of white casa blanca lilies, fuchsia gerbera daisies and orange roses accented with rhinestone floral picks.

Dacia Selph of Edmond was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Cox of Marlow, Amanda Lard of Duncan, and Ashley Towe of Lawton. Junior bridesmaid was Natalee Karcher, niece of the groom, of Duncan.

They wore black sateen strapless cotton dresses with ruching and pockets. Each carried a bouquet with fuschia gerbera daisies and orange roses accented with greenery and fuchsia ribbon.

Flower girls were Makenzie Towe of Lawton and Makinlee Selph of Edmond.

Ring bearer was the groom’s cousin, Ethan Karcher of Kingfisher.

Arron Karcher, brother of the groom, of Duncan, was the best man.

Groomsmen were Chris Gordon of Oklahoma City, Kurt Hoeman of Duncan, and Nate Schultheiss of Lafayette, Ind. Junior groomsmen was Colby Karcher, nephew of the groom, of Duncan.

Ushers were Brandon Johnson, brother of the bride, of Duncan, and Tanner Clift, cousin of the bride, of Moore.

Jasmine Hill of Stillwater, Jana Pennock of Yukon, and Becca Ward of Duncan, registered guests.

Assisting at the reception at the Duncan Elks Golf and Country Club were Becky Karcher of Duncan, sister in-law of the from, Quinn Blair of Comanche, and Kelli and Kayla Anderson of Corinth, Texas, cousins of the bride.

The groom’s parents were hosts for a rehearsal dinner at Peyton’s Place in Duncan.

Following a cruise to the Bahamas and a two night stay at Universal Studios Resort, the couple established a home in Duncan.

Prenumptual events included showers at New Hope Baptist Church West, Comanche Elementary, Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, and Halliburton Technology Center. A bridal shower was held in Oklahoma City with the bridal party as hostess.
