Hall — Arterberry
Kara Suzanne Hall of Stillwater and Ricky Devon Arterberry Jr. of Marlow exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Mystic Falls in Sam’s Town Resort in Las Vegas, Nev., with Pastor Darrell Edwards of Durant officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Greg and Carla Hall of Duncan.
She is the granddaughter of Esther Halpain, and Skip and Bernice Gibbs, all of Duncan; and the late LaVelle Gibbs, the late Ted Halpain and the late Jim Hall.
The groom is the son of JR and Brenda Reynolds of Alex, and Rick Arterberry Sr. of Lawton.
He is the grandson of Bill and Evelyn Rakes of Sterling; Jim and Sue Arterberry of Lawton; and Harold and Betty Reynolds of Chickasha.
The ceremony was performed in the glass atrium overlooking the falls, before a white arch decorated with tulle, flowers and lights and flanked by topiary trees. A sand ceremony table covered in brown linen cloth scattered with glass crystals holding two amour pouring jars filled with brown and blue sand and a large Victorian apothecary jar completed the setting.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Allure Couture strapless gown of diamond white soft satin designed in a fitted mermaid style with sweetheart neckline and plunging V back, surplice wrapped bodice with asymmetrical ruches throughout the gown and caught-up bubble hemline. A champagne-colored sash tied in a multiple-loop bow held her paternal grandmother’s blue crystal brooch in the center. Her tiered, fingertip-length bubble-style veil of silk tulle was secured by a crystal comb. She carried calla lilies with oasis blue ribbon, bear grass and crystal accents.
Matron of honor was Lauran Fish of Duncan.
She wore a strapless chocolate brown satin cocktail dress styled with a sweetheart neckline and champagne-colored sash tied in the back.
Best man was Adam Tourgeon of St. Paul, Minn.
Ushers were Casey Hall of Duncan, brother of the bride, and Josh Arterberry of Marlow, brother of the groom.
A celebration dinner was held at TGIF’s at Sam’s Town hosted by the groom’s parents.
A reception was held Aug. 22 in Butterfield’s Ballroom in Duncan. Reception assistants included Marci Faulk of Bryson, Texas; Dawn Travis of Royce City, Texas; Melissa Ferbrache of Guthrie; and Kara Chapman of Duncan, all cousins of the bride; and Angi Edwards of Durant.
Following a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple established a home in Stillwater.
