Softball regional tourneys set

DUNCAN — Three Stephens County high school softball teams will be headed to regional tournaments, with two teams to be hosts.

Duncan High School will host a Class 5A regional tourney that will start Thursday, Oct 10. Marlow High School hosts a Class 3A regional tourney which starts Thursday, while Central High will travel to Sterling Thursday for Class A regional action.

In the Class 5A bracket Oct. 10, the host Lady Demons play Northwest Classen at noon, followed by Ardmore playing El Reno at 2 p.m. The losers of those games play each other at 4 p.m. and the winners play each other at 6 p.m.

The tournament concludes Friday Oct. 11. The third-place game will be played at noon and the championship game will be at 2 p.m. If a second game is necessary to determine the regional champion, it will be at 4 p.m.

In Class 3A action this Thursday, Marlow plays Marietta at noon and Lindsay plays Tishomingo at 2 p.m. The losers play each other at 4 p.m. and the winners play each other at 6 p.m.

Tourney action continues Friday with the third-place game at noon and the championship at 2 p.m., with a second game if necessary at 4 p.m.

The Class A regional bracket, which starts this Thursday, at Sterling will feature the host team against Navajo at noon and Central High against Chattanooga at 2 p.m. The losers play each other at 4 p.m. and the winners face each other at 6 p.m.

On Friday, the third-place game will be at noon, the championship at 2 p.m., and the second game if necessary at 4 p.m.
