  • Duran Duran has one obstacle left: State

    Midway through her sophomore year, Comanche’s Alexis Duran had her athletic life taken away from her, but this spring she got it back in spectacular fashion.
    An ACL tear in basketball kept the three-sport star out for a full year before she got to compete again in track as a junior. Duran didn’t just show up and run, she pushed for medals and came just shy of making the state tournament, finishing one spot away by a tenth of a second.
