Hours into the first day of the Lady Broncho Invitational, it was Mother Nature who stole the show at Central High.

At about 5 p.m. in the first inning of the Waurika and Chattanooga game, rain began to pour and hail started to fall as a thunderstorm moved into the area.

Players, coaches and fans relocated to the school’s storm shelter before the day’s remaining games were cancelled.

At the time of the cancellation, no decision had been made to cancel the last two days of the tournament.

Host Central High and Velma-Alma are each slated to compete tomorrow, including a matchup between the Lady Bronchos and Lady Comets at 11:20 a.m..
