Oklahoma State vs. TCU
Last Week: Oklahoma State had a bye week. Mike Gundy has a 12-7 record in games after a bye here. TCU beat Kansas 27-17 at home.
Oklahoma State’s Player to Watch: The receivers — Freshman Jhajuan Seales had the big game against Kansas State with 21 yards per catch, but there are abut six or seven receivers who could lead the team on any given day. The group struggled with drops in its loss to West Virginia earlier in the year and held the offense back with a few against Kansas State. That can’t happen this week.
Key Matchup: Oklahoma State’s secondary vs. TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin — The Oklahoma State pass defense has been very good this season allowing under 250 passing yards per game and more impressively, intercepting nine passes this season. Boykin has filled in admirably for Casey Pachall, who has been unable to play last four games becaus of an arm injury. He gave both Texas Tech and Oklahoma all they could handle at their home stadiums. Expect the same in Stillwater.
Series: Oklahoma State is 2-3 against TCU since 1990, but it has won the last two, including last year’s 36-14 win in Stillwater.
