DUNCAN — Through two games this season, the Duncan Demons have suffered close losses against U.S. Grant and Lawton High.

But Tuesday night at Halliburton Stadium saw possibly the cruelest lost of the season for the Demons.

After regulation ended 0-0, the Demons fell 4-3 in a shootout against Lawton Eisenhower.

In the first half at the 23:42 mark, Darion Bowles had a quality chance off a corner kick which went just over the bar and out of play.

Justin McCall almost put the Demons on the board late in the second half as his shot hit the outside of the goal, before Orlando Martinez’s breakaway attempt was saved with 40 seconds left in the game.

Duncan goalkeeper Saul Garcia was kept on his toes all night, making several quality stops for his team, including one in the shootout.

Making goals for DHS in the shootout was Allen Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzalez, and McCall.

Josh Adamson and Jesse Marmaduke missed their attempts in the extra session.

Duncan will be off until March 28, when the Demons play in the Chickasha Tournament.
