The Duncan Banner
Throughout the entire season, the Duncan Lady Demons tennis team has shown they are a cut above the rest.
Monday afternoon, with the sun shining on the brand new tennis courts at Duncan High School, the Lady Demons punched their ticket to the state tournament, winning the regional title by eight points over second placed Ardmore.
“I thought we played well for the most part overall,” Duncan coach Phil Barnes said. “We got everyone qualified which was the important thing for us. Brittany (Toone) played extremely well all day for us, and I was very impressed with how Alex (Bowers) played because she had been battling an illness the past few days.”
