If there was one lesson to be learned from MHS’ game against Kingfisher, it was don’t make the Outlaws angry.
After finding themselves down 2-1, Marlow exploded for 12 runs against the Yellowjackets, eventually claiming the run-rule victory.
Wakely Bergner collected the biggest hit of the game, with a walk-off single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make it 13-3 for the Outlaws.
Seth Scarbrough gave Marlow the lead in the bottom of the first when he scored on a walk to Bergner, before Kingfisher struck back with two runs in the third inning by Dylan Blundell and Nick Smith.
Austin Forsythe and Bergner combined to give Marlow the lead back in the bottom of the third inning as Forsythe scored on a walk and drove in an RBI, while Bergner scored on a walk to make it 4-2.
