DUNCAN — The temperatures climbed higher and higher as the day progressed, but Mother Nature was no match for Mike Hodges and Jason Hodges during the annual Wildhorse Golf Course Two Man Scramble’s final round Sunday.

The pair shot a 58, the lowest round of the tournament, and claimed the event’s A Flight while finishing with the lowest final score out of 10 teams with a 118.

“The best part was that we were able to get some really strong players in the field,”co-event organizer Kenneth Maxwell said. “We also had a good turnout, so we’re satisfied with the overall outcome of the event.”

Finishing four strokes ahead of the competition, Jerry Hunt and Harold Bradshaw claimed the B Flight by shooting a 65 on the final day and finishing with an overall score of 131.

The C Flight was the scramble’s most competitive event, with Dale Pollock and Cody Pollock claiming first by three strokes after shooting a final round 67 to finish with a 132.
