DUNCAN — With regionals just around the corner, the Duncan Lady Demons golf team is hitting its peak at just the right time.

Last Thursday at the Durant tournament, Duncan showed why its a force to be contended with in the regional tournament, winning the title just one shot ahead of host Durant.

Whitney Hall led the charge for the Lady Demons, finishing third individually with a score of 82 for the tournament.

Jerica Gregston placed fifth overall, just three shots behind Hall, with Allyson Wilcox one shot back in sixth place with a score of 86.

Savannah Martin rounded out the Lady Demons individual scores with a 90, which placed her in 10th place overall.

“Whitney (Hall) is starting to play really well right now,” Duncan coach Steve Etheridge said. “Allyson (Wilcox) and Jerica (Gregston) are continuing to play really steady for us as well. Savannah (Martin) we believe is only a fraction away from putting up some really good scores for us.”

The Lady Demons will hit the road for a regional preview today at El Reno, before playing regionals at the same course starting on Tuesday.
