BRAY — The missed games are piling up for the Donkeys, who were hoping to have their home opener on Tuesday against Ninnekah.

Instead, because of weather concerns, it will be the third time that Bray-Doyle will not be able to play a game at its originally scheduled time. The Donkeys do have one game under their belt after the girls won 67-24 and boys lost 68-58 at Lawton Christian.

For the girls, the season started with high expectations. Nothing has changed that after the opening win, but there is a little uncertainty with how the teams are going to cope having the Central High, Minco tournament and now the Ninnekah games all canceled. Coach Frank Moser stated previously that he is unnerved by having this many games to reschedule this early in the season. He points out that usually this isn’t a huge problem this early in the season.

The girls basketball team will rely heavily on its experience in the summer and also with the full slate of scrimmages it played in the preseason. The next possible game will be at the Geronimo tournament, which runs on Friday and Saturday.
