The Duncan boys’ and girls’ swim teams hit the water at The Simmons Center for their final home meet of the season Thursday night, bidding ado to the waters with one last strong performance.
The boys took second out of four teams, while the girls placed third out of six.
Charles Espinola put on a show for the Demons as he took first in the 100-meter butterfly, the 200 individual medley and was a member of the first-place 200 medley relay and second-place 200 freestyle teams.
Senior Mason Lang also did well on senior night, crossing the finish line first in the 100 backstroke, taking fifth in the 50 free and teaming up on the relay teams with Espinola, along with Brennan DeHart and Damon Demar.
Demar took second in the 50 free and third in the 100 breaststroke, while DeHart finished third in the 50 free and second in the 100 free.
Marlow’s Brittany Boles (her team’s only swimmer) was second in the 100 back and fifth in the 50 free.
Jill Baker was the top finisher for the Duncan girls, taking third in the 100 free, while Tabatha Butcher was fourth in the 100-free and Leah Kafer placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
