No. 3 Outlaws to meet Kingston State Quarterfinals

DUNCAN — After an extended waiting period, the No. 3 Marlow Outlaws finally learned who they will meet in the state quarterfinals on Tuesday morning.

MHS (31-4) will be facing No. 8 Kingston (24-9) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday night from Deer Creek High School in Edmond.

Kingston made it to the state tournament by defeating Antlers and No. 14 Sulphur (2) in the regional tournament this past weekend.

Marlow punched its ticket to the state quarterfinals for the second straight season, by defeating Jones (2) and Kingfisher in the regional tournament.

The winner of this matchup will either meet No. 9 Stroud (27-4) or No. 2 Vian (32-2) in the state semifinals which will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from Edmond Santa Fe High School.

Other first round matchups will see two-time defending state champion No. 1 Verdigris (29-2) facing Oklahoma Christian School (18-14) at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the winner of that game facing either No. 5 Salina (25-9) or No. 4 Spiro (27-6) in the state semifinals on Friday morning.
