DUNCAN — The Demons baseball team won’t play next until Monday night, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be baseball in Duncan this weekend.

In its first tournament of the year, the Duncan Youth Baseball Club will host the 2013 “First Pitch Tournament” from Friday to Sunday.

Beginning Friday night at Abe Raizen Park, the tournament will include 27 teams.

DYBC Vice President said the field will consist of about half Duncan teams, half teams from out of town.

Kids ages 7-14 will compete in the eight-and-under, 10-and-under and 12-and under divisions.

“We’re excited we were able to get so many teams to compete,” Gregston said.

The tournament is the first of three for the summer, with the next two happening May 17-19 and June 14-16.
