DUNCAN — Sometimes it’s not how hard you fall, it’s how fast you get back up.

After suffering their first defeat of the season Tuesday night against Central High, the Empire Lady Bulldogs were back in action Friday night against Wilson at Bulldog Gymnasium.

An 11-5 lead at the end of the first quarter sent EHS on its way as the Lady Bulldogs took care of the Lady Eagles 48-35.

Despite a slow third quarter with only 15 points scored between the two teams, Empire still held a strong 35-21 lead heading into the fourth.

A 13-point finish was more than enough to get the Lady Bulldogs back on track with their fifth victory of the season (5-1).

Empire took a 26-15 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Alyssa George led the Lady Bulldogs with 19 points followed by Melaina Yearby with 11 points. Kaelyn Allensworth scored nine points.
