SAN ANTONIO —

While the temperatures might have been rising on Saturday, there was still plenty of action taking place at the Wildhorse Golf Course in Velma.
11 teams of two set out to compete in the Two-Man scramble event, with three flights housing the teams.
In the ‘A’ Flight, Mike and Jason Hodges turned in a total score of 60, which was three strokes better than the second place team of Mike Perkins and Don Thompson.
L.L. Humphreys and Caleb Osmus finished in third place with an overall total of 69 for the event.
Taylor Southerland and Zach Morse barely claimed the victory in the ‘B’ Flight, as they were able to hold off the challenge of Harold Bradshaw and Jerry Hunt, who finished just one stroke behind the winning duo.
Ryan Cox and Cody Goggins finished in third place in the ‘B’ Flight with a total score of 69 for the round.
There was plenty of jockeying for position in Flight ‘C’, which saw five teams vying for the top spot on the day.
In the end though, Dale and Cody Pollock claimed first with an overall score of 65, which was three strokes better than second placed Leo Stewart and Bill Loring, who finished with a 68.
Ronnie Peavler and Shane Jones came in third place with an overall total of 70, with Dustin Sloan and Blakely Sanner close behind in fourth place with a 72.
Ryder Smith and Adam Matealfe rounded out the finishers on the day as the duo registered an overall score of 75 for the scramble.
