Fourth annual Founder’s Day 5K to help fight MS

DUNCAN — The Fourth Annual Founder’s Day 5K/1Mile Benefit Run will begin Saturday at the south end Fuqua Park, with all proceeds being donated toward the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Proceeds will help the NMSS support advanced MS research, bring education to the disease and provide programs and services to help those with MS.

The 5K Run’s registration will take place at 6:30 a.m. and the event will kick off with the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m.. The 5K Race will begin 30 minutes later at 8 a.m..

Runners will be divided into one of  15 age groups starting with the 8-12 year olds and there will be a male and female division. Medals will be awarded to the 5K Overall Male and Female runners and the top three finisher in each division. The organization or business with the most team members for the 5K will also be rewarded.
