DUNCAN — For the fourth straight year, Duncan will host the annual Celebrity Pancreatic Cancer Golf Tournament at the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club, with Heisman Trophy winners Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White headlining a group of former Sooners and Cowboys football stars in the field.

Also competing will be Marlow resident and former OSU standout Terry Brown, Duncan resident and former lieutenant governor Jari Askins, former Texas Tech star quarterback Graham Harrell, Oklahoma director of football operations Merv Johnson, numerous former football All-Americans.

Each team will consist of groups of three golfers who have signed up and one celebrity golfer.

The funds raised from this year’s tournament will go toward helping with travel expenses for physician visits and pay for lodging and meals for those caring for loved ones with cancer in the hospital while providing awareness of pancreatic cancer.

Also included will be a $1,000 college scholarship awarded to a graduating Duncan High School senior who has been affected by cancer in some way.

The money will go to a fund at Duncan Regional Hospital, which will help distribute the funds.
