BRAY — The Bray-Doyle school board, on Monday, unanimously approved Frank Moser as the junior high and high school slow-pitch softball coach for the 2014 season.

Moser also is the head coach of the girls basketball team, which has a 9-9 record this season. The vote followed the unanimous approval of former slow-pitch softball coach Ashley Watley’s resignation.

President of the board Larry Osborne joked if they didn’t approve the resignation, could she keep coaching at the school, before putting it up for a vote. Sarah Long, a concerned citizen, spoke at the board meeting on Monday about how much she appreciates the Bray-Doyle coaches.

“I think our school is going in the right direction,” Long said. “I like all of our coaches. I think they are doing a good job, whether some people agree or disagree with their coaching styles.”
