Leaders remain at Day 2 of Blowout

DUNCAN — Heading into the final round of the 36th Annual Duncan Golf and Tennis Club Memorial Day Blowout, things are shaping up to have an exciting finish.

In the championship flight, Aaron Simpson and Jamie Gray maintained their first round lead, but only lead by one stroke with an overall score of 122, just ahead of Brent Bostick and Jim Grantham who have 123 as a two-round total.

Flight G sees Johnny Clover and Johnny Rue in second place at 149, with leaders Connie Burton and Nub Sullivan leading with a total of 148.David and Manuel Hernandez lead Flight F with a total of 144, just one stroke ahead of the second place team of Sean Fabors and Bryan Stewart.

Flight E is a little crowded at the top as Bruce Williams and Dub Bohannon lead with a two-round total of 138, but hot on their heels are the teams of Jerry Emerson and Clark Mitchell, along with Jeff White and Dylan Garver, who are both tied at 141 for second.Rusty and Randy Freel lead Flight D by two strokes over second place Steven Root and Clayton Easley.

Reggie Minter and David Hamilton maintained their lead in Flight C, by five strokes over Earl Gardner and Brent Bullard.

Matt and JJ Grantham will enter final round play with a three-stroke advantage over second placed Jerry Wilson and Wayne Bardsher in Flight B.

John Watkins and Sky Rylant find themselves tied with Greg Mahaffey and Jamie Latimer, as each totaled 128 through two rounds.
