DUNCAN —

Concerns about weather forecasts for later this week have resulted in Duncan's Class 5A regional play starting Tuesday, instead of Thursday as originally planned.
The switch means Duncan's final home game against Lawton High Monday, which was to be Pink Night, has been canceled.
Although regional brackets have not yet been released by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association, Duncan coach Tim Hightower said Sunday that the team is preparing for a Tuesday start for regionals.
Forecasts from AccuWeather and Weather.com call for thunderstorms, possibly severe, to hit Oklahoma Thursday, when regional tournaments were originally scheduled to take place.
Duncan, which took fourth in District 2-5A, is tentatively scheduled to head to Edmond for a regional bracket hosted by Deer Creek, which finished first in District 1-5A.
Regional brackets are to be released by the OSSAA Monday.
More information will appear on The Duncan Banner website as it becomes available. A full regional preview will appear in Tuesday's Duncan Banner.
