DUNCAN — The Duncan girls golfers took fourth at a tournament hosted by Deer Creek High School at Coffee Creek Golf Course in Edmond Tuesday.

Lady Demon coach Steve Etheridge said that the girls played as well as they have all year. Although the golfers struggled putting on some fast greens, Etheridge was happy with their overall performance.

“If we can put all facets together, we’ll be OK,” he said.

Duncan scored 350. Deer Creek won with 337, Edmond scored 338 and Mustang scored 347. Deer Creek is considered one of the top four teams in Class 5A, along with Duncan, Ardmore and Durant. The Lady Demons outscored Durant (352) and Ardmore (358).

Kayla Witt placed 10th with 82, Whitney Hall scored 89, Savannah Martin 90, Christen Belford 108 and Emily Kirkland 111.

Duncan next plays at the regional preview Monday at El Reno. The regional tournament will be the next day.
