DUNCAN — Oklahoma at Kansas

Last week: Oklahoma lost to Texas in Dallas 36-20. Kansas lost 27-17 at home against TCU.

Oklahoma’s player to watch: Quarterback Blake Bell — It’s often easy to point at the quarterback after a loss. It’s even easier after Blake Bell’s performance last week. He had two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, and completed less than half his pases. Even worse, he had -27 yards rushing. He needs a bounce-back game and this is the defense to do it against.

Key matchup: Kansas running back James Sims against Oklahoma linebacker Eric Striker — Kansas’ best threat has been inconsistent this year. He had 80 yards rushing and 40 yards receiving against TCU, but in some games he has been almost non-existent. Oklahoma’s defensive line was exploited versus Texas, but Striker was one guy who had a great game individually. The sophomore linebacker needs to capatalize on that success and continue to be a force off the edge.

Series: KU has lost eight straight, all by 14 or more points.
