The weather conditions were far from ideal, but they were no match for the Duncan Junior High Girls Golf team this week.
The Lady Demons endured frigid temperatures and blistery winds to take first place at the Territory tournament Tuesday and at the Silverhorn golf course in Edmond Wednesday.
An overall score of 208 was good enough for the Lady Demons to win at the Territory Tuesday. Christen Belford took first with a score of 40, Vanessa Moore finished in third with a 51, Perri Presgrove placed eight with a 58 and Emily Kirkland took ninth with a 59. Abbey Gammill and Abbey Cramton also helped bring the Demons a first place finish.
A day later, the Demons’ winning ways continued in Edmond. Moore won the tournament with a 43 and Presgrove took eight with a final score of 57. Kirkland, Gammill and Cramton also competed and the team finished with a score of 222.
