DUNCAN — A day after the Lady Demons took second place at the event, the Duncan boys tennis team took to the courts Wednesday at the Duncan West Tournament in Oklahoma City.

The team fought windy conditions all day, the team finished in fifth place. Edmond North took home first with 64 points.

“The weather made it tough to play, but I think we played pretty well,” Demons coach Phil Barnes said. “We had a bunch of three set matches that could have gone either way, we need to finish off stronger in those situations.”

In No.1 singles, Ryan Robinson represented the Demons with a fourth place finish. Sam Moffat rounded out singles play in the No. 2 division, finishing fifth.

No. 1 doubles included Moffat and Brant Davis, who finished in 13th place while Allen Hruby and Cameron McCasland finished seventh in No. 2 doubles.

Andre Vuong was unable to compete Wednesday, as he was out with an illness.

The Demons will be back in action today at the Cameron Tournament.
