DUNCAN — It’s a new year for Duncan football, but the teams the Demons are scheduled to face in 2013 regular season will remain the same as in 2012.

The team will begin its fall preparation in two weeks, starting practice August 12. Two Fridays later, the Demons will take the field for the first time when they travel to Ada on August 23. A final scrimmage will take place August 29 at home against Lawton High, and the team’s 2013 campaign will officially begin September 6 when it hosts Guthrie. The teams also squared off in last year’s season opener, which resulted in a 43-0 loss for Duncan.

Also included on the schedule is defending Class 5A state champion Carl Albert, who Duncan will visit in Week 3.

The middle of the season will include a handful of teams Duncan defeated in 2012, with the Demons slated to face Capitol Hill in Week 4, Altus in Week 5, Ardmore in Week 6 and Southeast in Week 8.

Duncan had no trouble with that competition last year, winning those games by an average of 28.5 points.
