The offensive line and special teams were both big factors in a decisive season-opening win for the Marlow Outlaws in Friday night high school football action.
Marlow coach Rob Renshaw said the O-line’s play allowed the Outlaws to run the football well.
And then there were the special teams play that made a big difference.
“We had a punt blocked, a punt return for a touchdown and a kick return for a touchdown,” he said. “We were hitting on all cylinders.”

Bronchos coach Keith Burton said his team came out “a little too up for the game” and it resulted in the Tigers scoring on their opening drive.
But after that, Central High took control of the game.
“We settled down after that,” Burton said. “We played better once we got over that first series on defense.”
The Bronchos led 30-6 at halftime.
“For our first game, we played pretty well,” Burton said. “We kept our composure when things weren’t going well.”
