DUNCAN — Jim Holloway will not return next season as the Duncan head football coach.

Holloway confirmed Thursday morning that he would not return to those duties, but declined to comment further.

Duncan High School Athletic Director Burl White released a statement that Holloway was “reassigned” this past Monday and “he was not fired.”

“We want to wish Jim well in whatever he decides to do,” White wrote in the statement.

Holloway has coached the Demons for the past nine seasons, in which he compiled a 54-43 overall record. In his 37 years as a head coach, he has won 259 games.
