True Gospel Tabernacle

The Pastor is Suff. Bishop Sherman P. Tyler Sr.

Sunday begins with prayer led by the Pastor, followed by Sunday school for all ages, and ending with a spirit-filled praise and worship service. They offer free transportation to all of their services. If they can assist you contact them at 580-467-2555.

Highland Park Baptist

“Peace on Earth” will be the message delivered by Bro. Jerry Couch during the Sunday morning worship service. Scripture reference is from Ephesians 2:11.

Music will be provided by Jim Adams. Bro. Jerry Couch will deliver the message “What Is Man” with Scripture reference from Hebrews 2:1 during the evening worship.

Jerry Bradley and Kim Ward will provide music for the evening service. Bro. Jerry will continue the study of Ephesians at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Activities for kids and youth will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

First United Methodist Church, Duncan

This week, the Chancel Chimes will be playing “Tidings of Comfort and Joy” for the Introit. The Chancel Choir will sing “Jesus Is Our Christmas Gift.” Rev. Dr. Tolle will continue the Advent Series of Sermons, “Christmas Expectations: Getting Ready for Christmas.” Scripture is Luke 3:1.

John Ray Green will be the reader. Marcus McEntire will be the worship leader. The Advent Candle will be lit by the Brad Bull family. Scripture reader in Connexion will be Marilyn Hugon. The Advent Candle will be lit by Rebecca and Allison Bailey.

At 4 p.m. Sunday is the annual Christmas Cantata. This performance by the Chancel Choir will be accompanied by Dr. Labe’ as well as a nine-piece string and woodwind ensemble.

This year the choir will be singing “A Celebration of Carols” written by Joseph Martin.

City Heights Baptist Church

Pastor Billy Ward will be preaching at the Sunday services. The morning message will be “Choose a Tree” from Matthew 27:38. Bill Greer will lead the music and music will be provided by Brenda Petty. The evening message be “The Gospel’s Power” from Acts 16:1. At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday is the monthly business meeting. Prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. The church Christmas party will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
