  •  Parkview Baptist

Welcome Rev. Dick Greenwood as he conducts Parkview’s Sunday morning worship. Bring someone with you to study the word and make lasting friendships.

Sunday morning, senior graduates will be recognized. A celebratory reception will be held for them Sunday evening in the Fellowship Hall. Please come and support them.

There will be “Noonday Bible Study” on Wednesday. The children and youth will have their regular services at 7 p.m.

  •  Assumption Catholic

The Dedication of Divine Mercy and Blessed John Paul II Chapel will be at 4 p.m. Sunday. The Most Reverend Paul S. Coakley, Archbishop of Oklahoma City in concelebration with Most Reverend Eusebius J. Beltran Archbishop Emeritus of Oklahoma City and Priests serving the Archdiocese will be in attendance.

Everyone is invited to Adult Education by Fr. Peter on Monday, in Gillespie Hall, “The Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist,” at 6 p.m. in English and 7:30 p.m. in Spanish.  Please bring your Bible!

Vacation Bible School: Marvelous Mystery: The Mass Comes Alive. Vacation Bible School is coming June 3-7 for all kids ages 6-11 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each day. If you are interested in helping kids learn their Catholic faith in a fun and exciting way, please volunteer.  

Many supplies are needed. Donations are needed. Register your kids after the morning mass. Kelly Porter is taking VBS registrations in the office.

  •  All Saints’ Episcopal

This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday, sometimes referred to as the “Birth of the Church.” All Saints’ will celebrate this special day by going back to the church’s beginning in 1935. Come and join worship in the Chapel, the original Church, with a special worship celebration.

Following the service, there will be a church picnic in the Parish Hall and Courtyard. Music for the picnic will be provided by The Prairie Lizards.

The study group at 10 a.m. Tuesdays is watching a video titled “The Bible and Christian Life” by John Stott, followed by discussion. This is the last week of this study and all are welcome.

    Oklahomans are being asked to focus on water conservation and stewardship and continue to keep drought-affected areas in their thoughts. A state-wide day of prayer has been set for 6 p.m. Sept. 18, backed by Oklahoma Conservation Districts, Oklahoma Conference of Churches and Whole Creation Community partnership.

    Almost everyone has at least one defining experience in their life which makes them take a closer look at all the beliefs they hold.
    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
