DUNCAN —

  •  First Presbyterian

Sunday service by Rev. Sue Trei-Conrad will be titled “You Are Invited,” based on Genesis 11:1. A nursery is available. Youth Food Harvest this Sunday “Soup” bring your donation to worship with you. Outside Ministry will meet after worship. Session will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. F.A.W. deadline will be next Friday.

  •  Ray of Hope

Sunday services begin with a variety of morning classes for all ages.

Sunday evening worship services meet in the main sanctuary with specialized services for youth groups.

On Wednesdays, ministry for the entire family begins with a meal at 6 p.m. followed by services. Adults meet in the sanctuary for Bible study. Overcomer’s Outreach, Grief Support, Heart to Heart women’s group and choir are also available. Nursery and pre-school classes are provided for all services.

Neher Connect is scheduled for 6 p.m. today at the home of Ken and Carolyn Neher. Spare Parts Connect will be at the Youth Building at 6 p.m. today. Young at Heart Connect meets at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall. The Missions Team will be hosting a taco salad fundraiser meal following the morning service on Sunday.

Water baptism will be held during the Sunday evening service. Women of Honor and Men of Integrity will be meeting at 6:45 p.m. Monday and childcare is provided.  The new Mentoring Class begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Participants must be pre-registered for this class.

  •  Comanche First Baptist

Interim pastor Toby Walker will bring the messages for both Sunday services. Marcia Hart is music director and Scott Pitts is song leader.

On Wednesdays, Loops of Love knit and crochet time is from 10 a.m. until noon. Prayer service, Youth Bible Study and Teamkids each begin at 6 p.m.

    Oklahomans are being asked to focus on water conservation and stewardship and continue to keep drought-affected areas in their thoughts. A state-wide day of prayer has been set for 6 p.m. Sept. 18, backed by Oklahoma Conservation Districts, Oklahoma Conference of Churches and Whole Creation Community partnership.

    Almost everyone has at least one defining experience in their life which makes them take a closer look at all the beliefs they hold.
    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
