Church Briefs offer glimpse of weekend, upcoming activities

Open Heaven Church

Open Heaven Church located at 1302 S. Ninth St. in Duncan invites everyone to hear Evangelist Karla Craft this Saturday Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. This Prophetess, Evangelist, Holy Spirit filled Woman Of God will deliver the Word with an anointing that brings in the power of God. Bring the lost, hurting, those in bondage and those in need of a miracle in their life. Come for an experience with the Holy Spirit that will set you on fire for Jesus. Open Heaven is a non-denominational Church open Saturdays for those who work on Sundays.

Tanglewood Bible Fellowship

The Sunday morning Call to Worship will be led by Rick Buchanan. At 10 a.m. Dr. Brad McCoy will teach from James 1:5 “Where to Find Wisdom.” During the fellowship break between first and second hour, there will be a light brunch buffet to help celebrate clergy appreciation day. At approximately 11:15, adults will reconvene in the auditorium for a time of sharing and prayer; young adults will continue their new DVD study on effective parenting in a defective world, the Uth Group will meet and children fifth grade and below will move from Sunday School to Junior Church.

This Monday the monthly men’s breakfast will meet at Duncan Regional Hospital from 6:40-7:30.

At 7 p.m. Monday, the inductive Bible study will meet at the Demersons. At 9 a.m. Wednesday, the Ladies AM Bible study will meet at the church. Midweek services for the entire family will meet from 7 to 8. Adults are beginning a new study of “Biblical Boundaries” led by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. On Sunday, Nov. 18, a baptismal service will be part of the 9:30 congregational worship. TBFers who have trusted Christ as Savior but who have not been water baptized as a testimony of their faith should contact Brad McCoy or James Mitchell.

    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
