DUNCAN —

First Baptist Church of Duncan will offer Sunday School bible study classes for adults, youth, and children followed by worship services. A Memorial Day video will be shown at the beginning of services.

Dr. Bryan Pain’s message will continue with “Discovering Jesus in John’s Gospel.” Kid’s Creek at Falls Creek will be May 29-June 1. This is for students who have completed third through sixth grades.

  •  West Side Christian

Rev. Terry Schlein will preach on “Temptations Americans Face” at West Side Christian Church this Sunday. His Scripture reference will be Mark 6:1-6.

The pastor’s children’s sermon will be “Safe in God’s Hand,” based on John 10:22-30.

Jerry Harwell has prepared a video presentation honoring the church family members who have died in the past year and Pat Hammond will read an essay written by Page Johnson McLean while visiting Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend in 2009.

The people who are collecting recipes for a church cook book will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday and the choir will rehearse at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Countyline First Baptist Church will host a fundraiser to benefit the new Family Life Center from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 31 at the church.

Spagehetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and a drink will be served for a fee. To go orders will be available by calling Marybeth at 580-467-7880 or Beth at 580-467-1041. Delivery available for five or more orders. Donations appreciated.

On this Holy Trinity Sunday, Pastor David Heitner’s sermon will be titled “The Father’s Eternal Life-Giver.” Relevant scriptures to be read will be Proverbs 8:1, 22; Acts 2:14a, 22; and John 8:48.

The “God For Us” class is offered at noon on Tuesdays in the north end of the building.

    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
