Eastside Church of Christ
Michael Shank, author of the best-selling book “Muscle and a Shovel” will be preaching the gospel at Eastside Church of Christ at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 1 p.m Sunday. Lunch will be provided following the 10 a.m. service.
Michael Shank earned his bachelor of science degree in mangement communication at Southern Christian University. He spends his service preaching, teaching and full-time ministry work. Michael, his wife Jonetta and their four sons live in rural southern Illinois. As a result of reading this book, many souls have been converted to Christ.
Rivers of Life Family
Rivers of Life Family will have Chip and Candy Brim as guest speakers at 7 p.m. today and Sunday morning. The Brim’s mission is to train the body of Christ to become the true champion that Christ has anointed the church to be.
Their focus is to strengthen and equip believers with the knowledge of God’s working power and His anointing.
Sunday service by Rev. Sue Trei-Conrad will be based on Luke 14:1, 7-14. Diaconate will meet at 12:15 p.m. Sunday. Church office will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Presbyterian Women Council meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Inside Ministry will meet 6 p.m. Wednesday, choir will practice at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Circles start Sept. 12 and 13.
Good Shepherd Lutheran
On this 15th Sunday after Pentecost, Pastor David Heitner’s sermon will be titled “Living Humbly in Christ.” Relevant scriptures are Proverbs 25:2-10, Hebrews 13:1-17, and Luke 14:1,7-14.
On Wednesday, the Elders will meet at 6 p.m., followed by the Council meeting at 7 p.m.

Highland Park Baptist
“Revival In Our Time?” will be the message delivered by Bro. Jerry Couch during the Sunday morning worship service. The scripture reference is from 1 Samuel 7:1-14. Music will be provided by Highlanders Quartet. Bro. Jerry Couch will deliver the message “Free at Last” with Scripture from Colossians 2:16-23 during the evening worship. Wanda Brown will provide music.
Bro. Jerry will continue the study of Daniel at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Activities for kids and youth will be Wednesday also.
