March 22 Church Briefs

DUNCAN —

The Adult Sunday school class lesson titled “Care for Others” is from 1Timothy 5:1. The Discipleship Training class will have chip and dip for their snack time at the beginning of the class at 5 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Croy will be teaching the class.

The free community meal will be Wednesday, March 27, dine-in 5–6:30 p.m. The menu will be Mexican Casserole, Salad, Nachos and Cake. Pastor Croy will lead the Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting following the meal.

GBC will have Three Days Of Celebrating the Risen Christ, Jesus March 29-31. Good Friday, Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m.,

Saturday, Movie Night at 6 p.m., Sunday, Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Breakfast served at the close of Sunrise Service. Evening Service dismissed.

First Christian

“Stations of the Lord’s Prayer” will be offered for worshippers on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, 4-7 p.m. at the Well.

“Healing Grief” welcomes anyone going through a time of grief. It meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the church parlor. The monthly free meal, J.O.H.N. 6:35 will be served by the Freedom Biker Church at the Well at 6:35 p.m. Friday.

On Easter Sunday a Sunrise Service will meet at the Duncan City Cemetery. Afterward, hot coffee and hot cross buns will be shared.

 

Parkview Baptist

One more week and Easter will be here. Will you be ready to celebrate? What exactly will you celebrate? As the scripture teaches, “as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” Sunday, the sermon will come from Luke 23:26 “The Road to Redemption” The Savior is Alive. The church going through a study in first Timothy 5 “Caring for Others.” The evening sermon will come from Luke 24: 28 “Are your Eyes Open?” If you walk with your head down, you may miss a blessing.

    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
