March 22 Church Briefs



Chisholm Trail is holding a blood drive this Sunday from 11a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the west annex. Donors will receive a health screen, donor reward points and an insulated lunch tote. During that time, Impact Houston fundraiser lunch will be held in the FEA followed by the LTC blitz from 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Life groups will meet this afternoon for service projects.

Teens will meet with their parent’s group for the selected project and there will be no separate teen life group this evening. The CTCOCYG have been working hard since last year for LTC 2013 “Going the Second Mile” in Rogers, Ark. A large group from Chisholm Trail will travel this next weekend to participate in chorus, drama, Bible Quiz, puppets, Christian art, signing, scripture readings and sermon delivery. 

There will be an Easter Egg hunt this Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Details will be announced during Family Matters. Wednesday evening meal will be chicken strips served in the FEA from 5:20 – 6:15 p.m. There will be a LTC meeting immediately following class on Wednesday, in the auditorium. They will discuss last minute LTC trip details. Thursday, Sewing Ministry will meet in the Sunshine House. For more information call 580-255-7038.


Highland Park Baptist

“Near the Cross” will be the message delivered by Bro. Jerry Couch during the Sunday morning worship service. The Scripture reference is from, John 13: 23. Music will be provided by Highlanders Quartet and Ken Dodson. 

Bro. Jerry Couch will deliver the message “Do You Believe this?” with scripture reference from John 11: 25 during the evening worship. Dennie Hightower will provide music for the evening service. Bro. Jerry will continue the study of Daniel 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Activities for kids and Youth will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.


Grace Baptist

Pastor John Croy will be delivering the message “Your King is coming,” from John 12:12 in the morning service and the evening service is from John 16:5 tiled “The work of the Holy Spirit.” Worship Leader Mark Marine will be leading the music in both services. Pastor Croy will be providing the music.

    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
