  •  Western Heights Baptist

Excitement is thick in the air around WHBC this week because the BIG 50th anniversary Homecoming and Celebration is this Sunday. Plans are to have regular Sunday services, followed by a meal and a special afternoon program. Come out to worship, have fellowship, and enjoy great company and food.

Home school Band Practice starts at 11 a.m. Thursday mornings in the fellowship hall.

The Ladies of WHBC are starting up a Bunco night. The first one will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26. Bring a small dish or snack to share.

  •  Assumption Catholic

The Ladies of Assumption Parish invite all ladies, priests and men to join us for the Fourth Quarterly Meeting of the Southern Region Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women Meeting Saturday starting at 9 a.m. with Mass following. Rev. Peter Jandaczek will be the speaker after Mass. Lunch will be served at noon. For more information call Ann Boice at 580-467-8595 or Carrie Carney at 580-695-7085.  

Attention Graduating high school seniors, please come by the office and get an application for the Knights of Columbus, Jesse Wayne Moore Scholarship fund. Applications are due Monday, April 22.

  •  Highland Park Baptist

“God In Us” will be the message delivered by Bro. Jerry Couch during the Sunday morning worship service. The Scripture reference is from, Acts 2:1.

Bro. Jerry Couch will deliver the message “A Healthy Church” with scripture reference from Acts 4:23 during the evening worship.

Bro. Jerry will continue the study of Daniel at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Activities for kids and youth will begin 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

  •  Comanche First Baptist

Interim pastor Toby Walker will bring the messages for both Sunday services. Evening activities include choir practice at 4 p.m., youth meetings at 5 p.m. and worship at 6 p.m.

On Wednesdays, Loops of Love knit and crochet time is from 10 a.m. until noon. Prayer service, Youth Bible Study and Teamkids each begin at 6 p.m.

    Oklahomans are being asked to focus on water conservation and stewardship and continue to keep drought-affected areas in their thoughts. A state-wide day of prayer has been set for 6 p.m. Sept. 18, backed by Oklahoma Conservation Districts, Oklahoma Conference of Churches and Whole Creation Community partnership.

    Almost everyone has at least one defining experience in their life which makes them take a closer look at all the beliefs they hold.
    For Michael Shank, author of “Muscle and a Shovel,” his came when he attended a Bible study taught by a former co-worker only revealed as Randall.
    Shank will share his story Sunday, Sept. 1, in three services at Eastside Church of Christ.
    Services will be open to the public and are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
