First Baptist Church to share message of Easter with musical performance Sunday

DUNCAN —

First Baptist Church of Duncan will host a musical theatrical production at 10:15 a.m. Easter Sunday, based on the death and resurrection of Christ.

“Come Celebrate Jesus!” with Dr. Bryan Pain offering the message in this special Easter service.

 Sunday evening services will not be held, so that all may be with family and friends. Church offices will be closed today.

 First Baptist will conduct a community Easter egg hunt from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, in Fuqua Park. This is open to the public and registration begins at 3 p.m. and the egg hunt and activities around 3:30 p.m. Activities include face painting, cupcakes, bounce house, pony rides and inflatable slides. We encourage you to arrive early to register and participate. Join in the fun.

 Also, upcoming this week, FBC will host the fifth annual Community Baby Shower presented by Smart Start of Stephens County.  It will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church, 901 W. Ash. It will provide helpful information for those who are pregnant or have newborn infants. It is a free event and offers information on prenatal care information, child development, links to social services, gift bags of books and resource materials.

There will be door prizes, provided by generous donations from community and civic organizations.

A baby car seat check will also be held at the same time, with Duncan Regional Hospital lending support.
