Danny Joe Hale

May 22, 1959 - August 25, 2013

DUNCAN — Danny Joe Hale, 54 of Oklahoma City, cradled in the arms of his beloved wife Jackie, passed from this life into Heaven to live forever with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Tuck officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.

Danny was born May 22, 1959, in Duncan, to Donald Ray and Sharon Kaye Hale. Danny graduated from Duncan High School in 1977. He was employed by EmsGreen Transportation LLC., in Noble. Danny Joe was a Baptist, loved the Lord, family, the outdoors and riding his bike with his wife Jackie.

Since Nov. 7, 2007, Danny was faithful to AA, Salvation Army, The Recovery Center, The Classen Club and the Western Club Early Birds.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie of the home; her children: Peter, Peyton and Taylor Hutchinson; Danny’s son, David Jordan Hale of Salmon Arms, B.C., Canada; parents, Ray and Kaye Hale of Marlow; sister, Dolly Nelson and husband Bob of Marlow.

He was a devoted “Unkie Dan” to Amber Smart and her husband Dustin and their children: Corbyn and Jacobi of Marlow; Jessica Nelson-Helmer and her husband Charles of Lawrence, Kan.; and many faithful friends: Amos Graham, Don Povilonis, Larry Wall, Mike Shoemake and Elizabeth Froelich.

The family’s gratitude to OU Medical and ER staff: Dr. John Choi, Dr. Martin, Dr. Hiral Parekh, Valir Hospice and their personnel, all located in Oklahoma City.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the OU Medical Research Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research and Valir Hospice, all of Oklahoma City.
