Jay Collier Jennings

Davis, OK — Jay Collier Jennings, a resident of Davis, was born Oct. 3, 1959, in Lindsay, to Kermit and Wanda Collier Jennings. He passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Davis, at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 28 days.

He had lived in the Duncan and Davis area all of his life. He attended school at Duncan, before graduating from Bray High School. He worked as a welder for Halliburton for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and hunting arrowheads.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Louis and Icie Jennings, B.H. and Ruth Collier; brother, David Jennings; sister, Jennifer Jennings.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Tamara Jennings of Sulphur; parents, Kermit and Wanda Jennings, of Duncan; grandchildren: Brody and Jagger Jennings of Sulphur; special friend and caregiver, Shelly Schultz.

Pallbearers will be and family and friends. Honorary bearers are Larry Robinson, Tony Oxley, John Paul Davis, David Eaves, Broan Stanley, Ronald Benn.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Midway Hill Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Willard McCartney Jr. Burial will be at Claude Cemetery under direction of DeArman’s Clagg Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
