Benny Roy Adams

June 1, 1943 — March 23, 2013

DUNCAN — Benny Roy Adams, 69 of Duncan, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday morning, March 23, 2013.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Couch officiating. Burial will follow at Duncan Cemetery under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Benny was born June 1, 1943, in Duncan to Wesley M. “Curly” and Flossie (Hall) Adams.

He served in the National Guard and was a pipeline inspector for Koch Oil Co.

On Sept. 30, 1961, Benny married Leslie Francis Hembree.  She preceded him in death on Jan. 22, 2009.

Benny is survived by a son Jim Adams & wife Lori, one brother Dale Adams and wife Sue and a sister Charlesa Willer and husband Brad, all of Duncan; two grandchildren, Kyle Adams and Abby Roberson and husband Sheylon, all of Duncan; and two great-grandaughters, Chesnee and Paisle Roberson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son Michael Roy Adams and a sister Theresa Adams.

Pallbearers will be Sheylon Roberson, Dale Adams, J.D. Punneo, Ronald Hembree, Taylor Little and Shawn Sternadel.

    Twyla was born Feb. 20, 1937, in Duncan, to Willard and Ruth Tinkle and died April 16, 2014, after a brief illness. Twyla lived her entire life in the Duncan area.
