Windel Dean Loftin

RATLIFF CITY — — Funeral services for Mr. Windel Dean Loftin of Countyline are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 at the First Baptist Church of Ratliff City with Rev. Monk Firestone officiating and Rev. Ricky Williams assisting. Interment will follow at the Alma Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City. Services are under care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Windel was born Jan. 14, 1948, in Throckmorton, Texas to Mr. James Winfrey Loftin and Mrs. Anna Mae (Merritt) Loftin. He departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Integris Baptist Hospital of Oklahoma City.

Windel was raised in was raised in Elecktra, Texas. He married the former Sherley Ann Jump on Jan. 10, 1968, in Elecktra, Texas.

They have resided at Countyline the past 46 years.

Windel worked on pulling units all of his working years retiring from Key Energy of Countyline in 2010 as a Rig Operator. He loved race cars and enjoyed racing and working on them. Windel enjoyed going out dancing and enjoyed time with family.

Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Tammy; sisters, Betty, Alice, Nelva , Sue and Irene; brothers, James, Gary, and Kenny.

Survivors include wife, Sherley Loftin of the home; daughter, Christy Lockwood and husband Jerry of Velma; two sons: Kelly Loftin and wife Jenifer of Countyline, and Rick Minnick and wife Julie of Medford; brother, David Loftin and wife Donna of Denver, Colo.; sister, Leona Bennyhill of Lake Charles, La.; grandchildren: Jerry Jr., Christopher, Shyda, Zachary, Coty, Richie and Casey; great-grandchildren: Lanie, Brant and Ariana.

Pall bearers will be Bennie Pedigo, Justin Pedigo, Gary Lockwood, Rick Gunsolus, Michael Brisco and Tommy Brisco. Honorary Bearer is William Miller.
